The ten frequencies / 528 Hz
528 Hz
The frequency of love and worthiness
They call it the miracle frequency. The evidence tells a quieter and more interesting story.
The central tone of the six Solfeggio frequencies Joseph Puleo published in the 1990s.
What it is for
Love here is less a feeling toward someone else and more a state of the body in which receiving feels safe: help, care, money, rest. Many of us are far more comfortable giving than receiving. We wave off compliments, refuse help, and push good things away right as they arrive. That is not a character flaw. It is a pattern the body learned.
528 Hz is the tone I use to practice the opposite: staying open long enough for the body to discover that receiving is safe.
What it can feel like
Warmth in the center of the chest. A loosening around the breastbone that arrives before any thought. Some people cry here, usually not from sadness, but from letting down a guard held for a long time.
Everyone’s body answers in its own way. Notice what yours does rather than looking for what someone else described.
What the research says
528 Hz has more early research than any other Solfeggio tone, and it is still early. In a 2018 study, Kaho Akimoto and colleagues played music at 528 Hz and at 440 Hz to nine healthy adults for five minutes each. After the 528 Hz music, cortisol and tension scores fell; after the 440 Hz music, they did not. Nine people is a very small study.
You will also read that 528 Hz repairs DNA. That idea comes from test-tube experiments published outside peer review, and nothing shows that listening changes the DNA of a living person. I do not make that claim.
What the research shows about sound, breath and frequencyHow I use it
- The center of any abundance or self-worth practice.
- In the morning, fifteen to twenty minutes after five minutes of 174 Hz.
- After 432 Hz, as the turn from settling to opening.
Headphones carry the tone best. Never while driving.
A question to take with you
What is one belief about your own worth that your body holds as true, even though your mind knows it isn’t?
From Chapter 16 of Frequency Shift, which goes deeper into this frequency.
Before you can heal anything, you have to feel safe enough to try.
