The ten frequencies / 417 Hz

417 Hz

The frequency of change

Change is not a decision. It is a frequency you have to be willing to enter.

One of the six Solfeggio frequencies Joseph Puleo published in the 1990s.

What it is for

Most people who struggle to change do not lack insight or motivation. The body treats the unfamiliar as something to watch, and old habits run on their own, below intention. You decide to change, and the old pattern keeps running. That gap is not weakness. It is how habits are built.

417 Hz is the tone I bring to anything that has been stuck for reasons logic cannot explain: a money pattern, a relationship pattern, a version of yourself you have outgrown.

What it can feel like

Movement. Like a slight wind through a room that had been still. Space in the chest and throat, and longer, fuller exhales.

Everyone’s body answers in its own way. Notice what yours does rather than looking for what someone else described.

What the research says

No study has tested 417 Hz on its own. Its link with change comes from the Solfeggio tradition.

The science behind the practice is the science of habit: new patterns take hold through repetition. That is why the course practices every day rather than once.

What the research shows about sound, breath and frequency

How I use it

  • After 174 Hz, and after 285 Hz when there is time.
  • Before a hard conversation, a new habit, or a project you have been avoiding.
  • Over several weeks, notice whether the old pattern feels less automatic.

Headphones carry the tone best. Never while driving.

In the course

This tone also plays on its own in Frequency Studio.

A question to take with you

What change are you intellectually ready for that your body hasn’t caught up with yet?

From Chapter 14 of Frequency Shift, which goes deeper into this frequency.

Before you can heal anything, you have to feel safe enough to try.
